arthare speed/cadence or not, thanks dan for providing a very challenging rabbit to chase :-)November 17 2015, 8:31pm
popstarron Challenging rabbi? Those were sick wattages. Nice job. Nice enough turn out. Spread the word.November 17 2015, 8:49pm
arthare And in case anyone tried the quick 'result' link in the header and found it was broken, it has been fixed.November 17 2015, 9:00pm
litespeedmarc_CT I paid dearly for going out too hard -- felt like a heman, until the start of the second lap. Was fun trying to gain on you Matt, figured I wouldn't close, but was fun trying :). Did with about 4kms to go.November 17 2015, 9:03pm
bikesurgeon Great race! Unfortunately Dan's player some how got stuck at 337 watts at some point in the race and we could not get it to correct itself. Anybody have this happen before? We did have 6 people running on one ant+ stick from an Ok computer.November 18 2015, 12:11am
arthare it can happen if the s/c sensor stops picking up the magnet, it'll just keep reporting "yeah you're still going at that last speed I measured" forever. Then the game converts that speed into a wattage. We did a demo once with about 10 s/c sensors, and it was a constant battle keeping the little spoke magnets properly attached and close enough to the s/c sensors.November 18 2015, 9:36am
bobsmart567 I was on a different race this morning, and I felt two instances when the Kickr appeared to stop getting resistance data and I was spinning too fast. It seemed to happen for about 10 seconds, then it kicked in again (no pun intended). No magnets involved, just Kickr Snap and Ant+November 18 2015, 11:32am
arthare Hey bob, that's actually by design to compensate for a kickr bug where it'd often cease responding to ANT+ commands. We can't detect when it does that, but we did find that resetting it pre-emptively (every 10 or 30 minutes, I forget what we picked) would prevent it from getting stuck on a particular resistance, at the obvious cost of the user spinning up for 5-10 seconds every reset.November 18 2015, 9:44pm
arthare It is possible that they fixed that firmware issue in the year since we added kickr support, so maybe I could add a "don't compensate for kickr bugs" option on the startup screen.November 18 2015, 9:46pm
    bobsmart567 Thanks, Art!November 19 2015, 10:02am
wheelzQC I should be back on this schedule soon. Just finishing the CX season and waiting to receive my road bike. Good to see people back at it ! November 19 2015, 1:35pm
